How to make Forest fruit crumble

  1. 1. Peel, de-core and dice the apples into medium pieces. Do not slice the apple too small, as it may disintegrate after baking and the fruit will not have the desired consistency.

  2. 2. Wash the raspberries and blueberries, and dry them on a paper towel.

  3. 3. Put the apples, raspberries and blueberries in a bowl, sprinkle with the vanillin sugar and cinnamon.

  4. 4. Arrange the fruit in a shallow casserole dish and leave for a while. Meanwhile, prepare the crumble.

  5. 5. Pour the flour and sugar into a bowl. Cut the cold butter into small pieces and add to the bowl.

  6. 6. Rub the butter into the flour and sugar by hand until the ingredients bond. The texture does not have to be smooth, but the butter must blend with the flour and sugar.

  7. 7. Sprinkle the prepared crumble evenly over the fruit.

  8. 8. Place the casserole dish in the heated oven and bake until the crumble turns a golden colour (around 30 minutes). The fruit will bubble from below.

  9. 9. Remove from the oven and set aside for 5 minutes before serving.
