How to make Cannelloni with Ground Beef, Spinach, and Mozzarella

  1. 1. Prepare the filling. In a pan, sauté half of the chopped garlic in half of the olive oil, then add the beef, season, and fry thoroughly. Once cooked, add the spinach and cream, and cook until the cream thickens and the spinach reduces in volume. Remove from heat and let it cool.

  2. 2. While the filling cools, prepare the tomato sauce. Chop the onion and the rest of the garlic and sauté in the remaining olive oil. Add the tomatoes, broth, season with salt, pepper, and oregano, and cook for about 7 minutes.

  3. 3. Mix the cooled filling thoroughly with the egg.

  4. 4. Fill the cannelloni tubes with the filling (you can use a piping bag or a very small spoon for this).

  5. 5. Arrange the tubes in an ovenproof dish and cover with the tomato sauce.

  6. 6. Place in an oven preheated to 180°C for 25 minutes.

  7. 7. After 25 minutes, sprinkle the dish with mozzarella and return to the oven for another 10 minutes.
