How to make Apple Pastries like McDonald's

  1. 1. Peel the apples, cut them into quarters, remove the core, then dice them into small pieces.

  2. 2. Place the apples in a saucepan or frying pan, add water, lemon juice, and half of the erythritol and cinnamon. Cook the apples, stirring occasionally, for 10–20 minutes. At the end, add the starch and mix well.

  3. 3. Lay the puff pastry on a work surface. Cut it lengthwise in half, then across into six strips so that each strip is 7–8 cm wide. You should get 12 rectangles.

  4. 4. Line a baking tray with baking paper and place six pieces of pastry on it.

  5. 5. Put a portion of apple filling in the centre of each piece, leaving about 1.5 cm at the edges.

  6. 6. Cover each apple-topped piece with another piece of pastry. Seal the edges first with your hands, then press with a fork.

  7. 7. Brush the pastries with beaten egg and sprinkle with the remaining erythritol and cinnamon.

  8. 8. Bake at 180 °C for 18–20 minutes.
