How to make “Kopytka”-style cheesy dumplings

  1. 1. Mash the cheese with a fork. Add the egg and ground flax seeds, then mix everything together until it achieves the right consistency

  2. 2. Form the mix into rolls of medium thickness, then slice them diagonally into dumplings 2-3cm long

  3. 3. Bring some water with a small amount of salt to the boil. Put the dumplings in the boiling water and stir gently. Boil for about 1-2 minutes until they rise to the surface

  4. 4. Melt the butter in a saucepan. Slice the bacon into pieces, then fry in a dry pan

  5. 5. Pour the butter over the dumplings and sprinkle the fried bacon on top
