  • Wholemeal bread4× slice of bread (140 g)

  • Olive oil4× tablespoon (40 g)

  • Turmeric, ground1× tablespoon (4 g)
  • Bay leaf, dried1× leaf (2 g)

How to make Lentil Soup with Cherry Tomatoes

  1. 1. Chop the leek and peel and dice the potatoes.

  2. 2. Heat olive oil in a pot and sauté the leek and potatoes.

  3. 3. When the leek is soft and the potatoes are lightly browned, add the lentils and cover with water. Add the spices and stir. Cook the soup for about 30 minutes over medium heat.

  4. 4. Meanwhile, prepare croutons: dice the bread and toast in a dry pan.

  5. 5. After 30 minutes, add the halved cherry tomatoes and cook the soup for another 10 minutes.

  6. 6. Serve the soup preferably with the croutons.
