How to make Quick, Lighter Skillet Lasagna

  1. 1. Finely chop the onion and garlic. Grate the carrot on the large holes of a grater.

  2. 2. In a skillet, heat olive oil and sauté the garlic and onion. Once the onion is translucent, add the grated carrot and sauté for a few more minutes, stirring.

  3. 3. Add the ground chicken meat to the skillet along with the spices and cook for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally to brown the meat evenly.

  4. 4. Once the meat is browned, add the tomato passata, water, mix well, and cook for a few more minutes.

  5. 5. Add lasagna noodles on top and cover with a lid. Cook until the noodles absorb the water and become soft.

  6. 6. Once cooked, top with mozzarella cheese and fresh basil before serving.
